11th & 12th Grade - The Child Care Services program is a two-year course for juniors and seniors to prepare for a variety of occupations relating to the care and education of preschool aged children. Child care attendants and preschool professionals provide prekindergarten children with a routine of basic physical and social/emotional care, and stimulate them with physical, social and intellectual experiences to prepare them for school and society. High school students that enroll in this program prepare for national certification as a Child Development Associate. This curriculum, which includes the laws and regulations that govern the supervision of children, provides a foundation for college entry in early childhood education or for immediate employment in fields relating to the care of children.
