The Crawford County K-12 Career Education Alliance provides
a forum on workforce preparedness for educators and employers focusing on career
information and exploration for students.
There are currently NO GRANTS available from the Crawford County K-12 Career Education Alliance.
- To collaborate with educators, business, labor organizations, higher
education agencies, parents and other youth organizations to develop
opportunities for career exploration and provide career information for
students
- To encourage development of career pathways exploration curriculum and
assessment tools so that each student will be prepared to enter the workplace.
- To supplement current academic curriculums in an effort to meet the
objectives of the proposed Career Education and Work Academic Standards.
- To support staff development opportunities for educators that focus on
preparing students for the successful transition from the classroom to the
workplace.
- To collect information about area workforce needs and existing programs in
business, government and education in an effort to provide a comprehensive
service to students and educators.
- To increase community awareness of and involvement in the
K-12 Career Education Alliance Program.
- To motivate students to learn, stay in school and make educated choices
about their future.

- Proposals should relate directly to goals stated above.
- Proposals should not request funds for equipment, staff salary or short
term onetime needs.
- Proposals should not include activities routinely funded by your school
district. (Busing for field trips involving some type of career explorations
is allowed.)

- Follow-up report to be complete and submitted to the K-12 Career Education Alliance Office
within 10 days after the activity.

- Proposals are accepted the first of each month from October - April.
- Proposals are to be no longer than 3 pages.
