Summer Internships
Goal
"To provide students with the opportunity to gain real work experience in their career interest area and serve as a follow-up to a job shadowing experience."
Operation
- The Crawford County K-12 Career Education Alliance Partnership collects possible business/agency internship opportunities. This information will be compiled into an Internship Opportunities Listing that is distributed to school guidance counselors.
- Students will have an April deadline for submitting applications.
- Once the student's application has been received by the K-12 Career Education Alliance office, the business/agency contacts will be notified. If a business/agency is still interested and able to provide the internship opportunity, the student's applications will be forwarded to the business/agency contact. It is the responsibility of the business/agency to contact the student to finalize the student's internship.
- Any business/agency that provides an internship opportunity will be asked to complete a one page internship verification form and return it to the K-12 Career Education Alliance office to be included in the student's program file.
